Hello World!

Boy are first blog posts daunting. Where to start? 

My name is Zach, and I am starting a vintage reselling business with my wife, Janel. We're calling it Cosmic Shift. 

We've talked about doing something like this for a while, and a series of events beginning earlier this year finally convinced us. Without going into details, a number of moderately catastrophic circumstances beset us, one after another, so significantly we felt the cosmos had shifted–thus our name. With things going so poorly, we decided we might as well do what we really want in life.

So this is where we're starting. We've been obsessively thrifting, researching, thrifting, researching, ad infinitum, and we're both ready to open an online store and desperate for the revenue!

Our Kitchen table is overflowing with goods stacked three-high; whatever shall we do?

I put up shelves in our studio last weekend for storing inventory. Now we can dine like proper civilized folk once again.

Then there's the details: branding, business-y stuff, photography, etc. Janel's placed a moratorium on the constant thrifting until things get rolling; we'll see how long that lasts...

It'll be a few weeks before the store goes live. In the meantime, we'll post here with updated progress and previews of stuff we've found.
